The Unique Identification Number Project

How will you like the The Unique Identification Number (UIN) system to be? Pls post your suggestions.

  1. 1)Quote UIN for all business/ financial transactions.
    2) Map UIN cards to existing government processes/identifiers like PAN numbers, driving licences (not a replacement).
    3) Provide website / service to all government agencies and private businesses (on a subscription model) to ensure they could use the UIN for verification / tracking purposes.
    4) Streamline all other government process to include UIN as a part of the system so that a single number could be used to retrieve all information since systems integration would be way of the future.
    5) There would be a problem of updating data on a constant basis I mean like address changes/ invalidating deaths and inclusion of new UIN's. Probably the way to go would be make these application's available on line at places like Post Offices and railway stations.

  2. UIN should be like PAN Card Number and even much advance so all histroy and geography of a identified person can be gathered
